Ireland has come a long way in the past two years. In almost every major town in the country – not to mention the cities! – there is a restaurant or café with vegan options available.
Even places that aren’t officially vegan usually offer a vegetarian choice on the menu that can be modified for vegans. If all else fails, phone ahead before you go and ask if the chef can whip something up for you! At the very least, you can expect a stir fry!
Thankfully, there is an ever-growing list of wonderful vegan eateries in the country. Stop by one of Ireland’s first vegetarian and vegan cafés, Cornucopia, in Dublin or take a trip to Donegal and pop into Wholegreens, the county’s only vegan deli! Take a road trip to Cork to sample the tasty treats at the Earth Café or drive into Derry for a delicious sandwich at Hidden Café!
