You may be surprised to know that there are many foods that you ate as a non-vegan that you can still eat after you go vegan. But we’re not talking about fruits and vegetables! Plenty of foods (as well as drinks and cosmetics) are accidentally-vegan.
What does this mean?
A product is “accidentally vegan” if it does not contain animal derivatives and was not tested on animals, even though it isn’t officially marked Vegan by the company that makes it.
You can find out if a product is accidentally-vegan by contacting the company that makes it and checking with them. Or you can simply search for the product online; oftentimes vegan bloggers and even official vegan organisations like Peta post lists of accidentally-vegan products.
