Former Xpose star, Aisling O’Loughlin’ was recently labelled a “snowflake” after stating she has decided to go vegan.
The remark was made by Anna Marie McHugh, the general secretary of the World Ploughing Organisation, on RTE’s Cutting Edge programme on Wednesday.
After revealing she had decided to become vegan that day to “save the planet”, fellow panelist McHugh lashed out, branding veganism “ridiculous”.
Defending herself, O’Loughlin said, “If there’s one thing anyone can do right now to save the planet, it is to become a vegan.”
“I’d honestly say that Aisling is having a snowflake moment,” McHugh said. “It’s a trend. It’s just a trend.”
She finished by saying: “It wont’ take off, it won’t take off.”
